Alloy Center Housing Assembly:

The Alloy center housing fits the 1/4th scale FS racing and the 1/5th scale FS racing vehicles, on both vehicles the brake support plate needs to be modified to make room for the housing.
Note: You can only use a small scale throttle/brake servo when installing the Alloy center housing, there is no room for a large servo.
Be careful when screwing the housing together from the top as the screws are longer than the thread so make sure to add a extra spacers where needed.

Tools needed:
Hacksaw
Metal File
locktight 242 red

Remove the 3 center sqaures and clean the area, replace any bearings if they seem worn. It helps to remove the gearplate too. It makes it easier to get the brake shaft mounted in the alloy housing.


As you can see the brake support plate needs to be cut to line up with the housing.


Use a hacksaw to cut it on the black line as shown in the picture below


Clean up the edges with a metal file or dremel tool.


Once the housing is in place use some shims to move the small bearing against the lip of the housing as shown with the red arrow in the picture below.
